About Old Music

several people have commented on looking for old product from myself and the Sweet Comfort Band. SCB is listed in my friends list on the home page. I believe you might still pick up the first album at that site.

CCM classics is a website run my Rich Davis and he has some of the older Bryan Duncan projects. they are mostly out of print and hard to find.

I tunes has the largest compilation of downloadable old songs that I have found of mine.

You might try E Bay and similar sites. I’ve seen old records for sale there as well. thanks for actually wanting the old material. Good luck.

  1. I love all your old music why don’t you sale it? Looks like you could make some money on your old music. I get some of your old music from a christian book store here they older it for me and have some in store. When are you ever going to be in the Dallas,Ft.Worth area again. I thought about calling the local christian radio station here and asking them to have an oldie concert in the local area.

OMG!!! that would be great to have a concert w/ Bryan w/ the old SWB songs. Songs like ” When I Was Alone ” that song as a child had always ministered to me…since my father gave away the records all i have is the song in my head and in my heart…and when i wanna taste the sweet name of Jesus…i sing that song… if only he put that song/record on cd, i would play it for worship in church…I’ll pray it happens.

    Bryan,

I have all of your records from the past. I’m 42 and have stayed current with good Christian music. In fact, I like most of the stuff my kids like. But back in the day when there wasn’t much good Christian music, you were a life saver. I still listen to Anonymous Confessions and all of those great albums (on CD, iTunes, iPod of course!).

My music pastor is Paul Smith of Imperials fame, so I hear great music every Sunday. I’d love to hear you live sometime. God bless you for your sacrifice for Him for all of these years.

Hi Dena, this is Steve, Bryan’s webmaster.

As it just so happens, you can get a copy here in our “Basement Tapes” collection. The recording is not perfect, since it is recorded from a vinyl album, but it is very good. There’s a sample you can listen to so you can check out the quality of the recording. I hope you enjoy it. :)

You can also download it from itunes, they’ve released the perfect timing cd there. however, i like the mix of the basement tapes version, it sounds like i’m in my room a kid again. How cool.

When I was alone, I came to know a friend of mine, when I was alone His voice was never hard to find, and lonliness would leave me, and that is when I learned to say: “I love You, I love You” Jesus, I love You!
When I was alone, searching for a melody, He sang it as a song and gave it as a gift to me, and lonliness would leave me, and
that is when I learned to say: “I love you” Jesus, I love You!
When I was alone, searching for a melody, He sang a sweeter song and gave it as a gift to me, and that which I feared most, is
that is which is most precious to me now. Jesus I love You!

Bryan, I want to thank you for Radio Rehab!!! I just now discovered it, and I wish I would have found it sooner! I lived in Victorville, Ca. & now live in Athens, Texas. I went through a bad divorce in 2006, and made some bad decisions after that. I needed to ‘be still, and keep my eyes on God’ but ran away from everything and California, and found myself here in Texas, and stumbled across Radio Rehab! What a refreshment for my troubled soul, I am now going through the shows! Thanks Bryan!

Rumor has it that SCB has reunited and was in the studios in Jan of 2010 recording new stuff.
    From wikipedia:
As of January 13, 2010, the wife of Rick Thomson reported online that Rick Thomson, Randy Thomas, and Bryan Duncan are in the studio for the first time in over twenty-five years, having written several new songs. The band is currently in the planning phases for their first tour since the reunion tours in 2001, and are getting ready to tour again in 2010.

    I say it’s a rumor because… it IS Wikipedia.
The SCB website has no mention of it being true or not.

Can you comfirm or deny this rumor.

    Thanks

I met you in Virginia Beach about 23 years ago. It was a concert where you went out and bought white shoes (I think you said at Payless) and put black electrical tape on them to give them an original look.
I believe I actually have each of the Sweet Comfort Band albums on cassette, album, and cd. My 17 year old son enjoys listening to them too…just last week he was listening to Hearts of Fire. I have each of your recordings as well. Have Yourself Committed might be my favorite maybe because it is such a fun and true song.
Glad to see you back and look forward to future projects.

Thank you for serving God and writing from the heart. You have displayed in you life how important forgiveness is not just to forgive others but to forgive ourselves also. Accepting forgiveness and believing it is often harder then forgiving. You wrote Blessed are the tears that fall. It is my life song. You are my favorite artist not because you are perfect but because you are real. You truly are a man after God’s own heart!

  10. Ok, so I have a question that goes WAAAAYYYY back. I have a song in my head and I wanted to see if I could find a copy of this CD or album on Ebay but I can’t remember the name of the song or album. Can you help me out, Bryan?

The first time I heard it was in Chicago. It was a rap song about sitting in the Chicago airport. The only line I remember is “Baby…don’t you wanna rap with me.” Thanks for any assistance you can offer and any advice on where I can get a copy of this.

BTW, saw Devin on Undercover Boss. He did a good job.

Are you gonna be in the Chattanooga area any time soon? Miss you!

    Christy

  11. Kurt Gray says:

Christy the song is called Don’t ya wanna rap – off his Strong Medicine Album.
You can buy it on itunes

  12. Nancy says:

Hi Bryan. I have ALL your music as well, if you need a copy of the old stuff.
